Healing from trauma requires more than just talk therapy—it involves the body, breath, and energy systems as well. Somatic Healing: A Six-Week Trauma-Informed Yoga Experience is a deeply restorative journey designed to help participants process, release, and integrate their healing through a combination of EMDR techniques, sound bowl healing, meditation, breathwork, and somatic movement. This trauma-informed approach recognizes that past experiences are often stored in the body, and through intentional movement and vibrational healing, individuals can begin to release tension and restore balance.


This series is structured to gently guide you through the phases of trauma healing, starting with grounding and resourcing techniques that provide a sense of safety and stability. From there, we move into deep emotional processing using sound healing, mindful movement, and guided EMDR practices to help release stored trauma in a supportive environment. Finally, the series culminates in integration, where participants weave together their experiences to cultivate a renewed sense of self-awareness, resilience, and inner peace.


Sound bowls will be a core component of the healing experience, offering therapeutic frequencies that encourage relaxation and emotional release. When combined with breathwork and movement, these tools support the nervous system in shifting from survival mode into a state of restoration and healing. Week 1: Finding Your Ground

Establishing Safety, Stability, and Inner Resources

Healing begins with a sense of safety, both physically and emotionally. This foundational session focuses on establishing stability within yourself and your surroundings. Through guided breathwork, gentle movement, and the vibrational healing of sound bowls, you will learn how to activate your body's natural calming response. This session introduces essential resourcing techniques that you can return to whenever you feel overwhelmed, helping to regulate your nervous system and create a secure foundation for the deeper work ahead.

Week 2: Mapping Your Story

Exploring Your Personal Narrative with Compassion and Awareness

Trauma is not just something that happens to us; it is also the story we carry in our bodies and minds. This session focuses on exploring your personal history with curiosity and self-compassion, helping you recognize patterns without judgment. Using EMDR-inspired visualization, movement, and sound healing, you will begin to uncover the connections between your past experiences and current emotional or physical responses. By mapping your story in a safe and supportive space, you can start to shift your perspective and engage with your healing from a place of empowerment.


Trauma lives in the body, often influencing thoughts, emotions, and reactions. In this session, we gently explore personal histories and patterns with curiosity and self-compassion, creating space for reflection without judgment.



Engage in EMDR-inspired visualization techniques to gently explore significant moments in your personal timeline, bringing clarity and understanding to past experiences. Through somatic movement and sound healing, you will begin to process and release stored emotions in a safe and supportive environment. Week 3-5 Releasing and Rebuilding

Using a combination of EMDR-inspired techniques, breathwork, sound healing, and mindful movement, these sessions will help you gradually and safely release stored emotions. As you move through this phase, you will rebuild a sense of inner strength, learning how to navigate difficult emotions with resilience and self-compassion. These sessions are designed to be fluid and adaptable, allowing you to work at a pace that feels right for you.
